Le Diable à Cinq is five multi-instrumentalists from Ripon, Outaouais, whose main mission is to revive the festive evenings in which its members grew up. Le Diable à Cinq is also a family story, with three brothers, a cousin and a friend who share the stage with remarkable complicity. Displaying dynamism and an explosive stage presence, the five devils embrace the evening to the sound of energetic, warm and resolutely unifying music.
The tour of their first album, Sorti de l'enfer, led the quintet to perform in 2019 as the opening act for Les Cowboys Fringants in front of a record crowd of 40,000 people at the Fête Nationale regional de la Rive-Sud de Saint-Constant.
The band released their first album, Sorti de l'enfer, in 2017 and followed up in 2019 with Debout!, which was a Felix Award nominee for Traditional Album of the Year at the 42nd Felix Awards, a Canadian Folk Music Award nominee for Traditional Album of the Year at the 16th Canadian Folk Music Awards, as well as a nominee in Juno Awards of 2021 in the Traditional Roots Album of the Year.
